Spend
7 nights in Barcelona, and 2 nights in Bilbao, on
this exclusive creative writing retreat with poet/novelist, Terry
Wolverton, of Writers At Work. Strengthen your writing
skills in daily classes led by Wolverton. Enhance your writing experience
on unique cultural excursions led by Anne Block, of Take
My Mother*Please tours.

Beginning
in Barcelona, explore the Gothic quarter, Olympic Village,
and the Rambla, a historic pedestrian walkway through the heart
of the city. Feast on tapas and paella in the lively cafes beside
the seaport. Accommodations are centrally located near many of the
architectural masterpieces of Antonio Gaudi, father of the Spanish
Art Nouveau movement.

Then
travel to Bilbao in the mountains of northern Spain. Once
isolated from the world, Bilbao is now famous as home to the new
Guggenheim Museum, designed by American architect, Frank Gehry.
Your final two days will be spent immersed in the music, food and
rich cultural life of this Basque town.

Daily
writing workshops include exercises, discussion, individualized
assignments, and critique, all designed to advance each writers
project. Guided outings stimulate creativity with the unique sights,
sounds, smells, and tastes of Spain.
